For a long time, I have wanted to paint an active volcano.
A few days ago, I started this painting and I received the news that the Etna volcano (40km from my house) was violently erupting, covering the city of Catania with ash, stones and lapilli.
This coincidence gave me a deep emotion and I painted until late at night. I was in an energetic vibration with the power of "A Muntagna" as the Sicilians call it.
